About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager - Information, Data & Technology, you will lead the development of Alder's enterprise data platform and serve as the technical owner of our data, analytics and AI capabilities.
You'll be responsible for designing the architecture, governance frameworks and reporting solutions that transform business data into trusted information assets, while identifying opportunities to leverage automation, analytics and AI to improve business outcomes.
This is a hands-on role where you will participate and lead the initial requirements gathering, options analysis and design phases and then build the data platform, integrations and reporting from ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop Alder's enterprise data platform, architecture and governance frameworks
- Build scalable data models, pipelines, integrations and reporting solutions
- Deliver business insights through Power BI, analytics and AI-enabled solutions
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives across the organisation
- Champion data quality, governance and emerging technology opportunities
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data solutions
- Develop and support AI-enabled prototypes and solutions that improve productivity, decision-making and operational efficiency
About You
You're a strategic thinker with strong technical capability who enjoys solving complex business challenges through data.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, modern data architectures or data warehousing
- Strong skills in data modelling, integration, reporting and analytics
- Knowledge of data governance, automation and AI technologies
- Experience with Power BI and platforms such as Fabric, Snowflake or Databricks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement
- Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable.
