Vice President - Data Scientist

Join our Home Lending Modelling team to leverage your data science expertise in building and analyzing ML/AI products and solutions.

Job Summary:

As a Data Scientist VP on the Home Lending Modelling team, you’ll join an organization that builds, implements, tests, and analyzes ML/AI products & solutions. Your ability to understand data relationships and take ownership of data-driven tasks will be key to your success. You’ll also develop approaches and/or processes to accomplish goals with an emphasis on A/B testing & advanced analytics. You’ll utilize strong communication skills to effectively operate in direct collaboration with key stakeholders across functions and lines-of-business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of various strategies, initiatives, and ML/AI models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing opportunities and develop hypotheses.
• Ensure rigorous statistical analysis and interpretation of test results to inform business decisions.
• Leverage a variety of statistical and mathematical techniques and algorithms to analyze datasets and solve complex business problems.
• Develop presentations to summarize and communicate key messages to senior management, sponsors, and colleagues.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience working in an A/B testing and/or analytical role.
• MS degree in a related field, such as Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or similar STEM discipline.
• Experience using statistical programming languages (Python, R) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Practical understanding of ML/AI.
• Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information for audiences at various levels of the business.
• Strong storytelling capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Functional industry experience in finance, operations, sales, marketing, credit/risk, or technology.
• Knowledge of the mortgage industry.
