What will you work on?
As a Sr. Analyst, Strategic Analytics on the Data Products Toy team, you will translate complex market, retail, and consumer datasets into clear, actionable insights that directly influence product development, marketing, and brand strategies. By diving deep into point-of-sale performance and emerging consumer trends, you will proactively identify hidden growth opportunities for our global toy portfolio.
Partnering closely with brand and product leaders, you will act as a trusted collaborator, helping cross-functional teams navigate complex business questions with confidence. You will serve as the essential bridge between raw data and real-world execution, translating highly technical concepts into compelling, strategic recommendations for stakeholders across all levels of the business. How will you create impact?
- Market Retail Analysis: Analyze consumer trends, internal point of sale (POS), and market performance to support product development and identify growth opportunities for the toy portfolio.
- Strategic Translation: Translate technical data concepts into actionable insights to support sales, marketing, and brand development.
- Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with brand and product leaders to answer complex business questions using data.
- Product Advocacy: Collaborate with data engineers and product managers to define the requirements for internal data products and dashboards.
What are your skills and experience?
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in strategic analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably within CPG, retail, or the toy/entertainment industry.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL. Experience working with large datasets, preferably in a cloud environment (e.g., BigQuery). Familiarity with Python for data analysis is a strong plus.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to connect data analysis directly to business outcomes, ROI, and high-level strategy.
- Storytelling Communication: Ability to concisely present recommendations across teams and levels, including both technical and non-technical audiences.

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $89,700 to $119,600 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
