Job Title: Senior Data Scientist, Executive Reporting Centre of Excellence

Product Data & Analytics is a centralized global team that enables Mastercard product business units to make better data‑driven decisions. We build internal analytics partnerships that strengthen focus on business performance, portfolio and revenue optimization, initiative tracking, new product development, and go‑to‑market strategies. These capabilities are underpinned by our data platforms that enable insights to be delivered in a standardized, scalable, and cost‑efficient manner.

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-oriented Senior Data Scientist to drive enterprise-level KPI reporting, business performance tracking, and strategic analytics initiatives across global business units and regions.
The role will be responsible for owning end-to-end analytics solutions from requirement gathering, conceptualization, KPI framework design, data engineering, dashboard development, stakeholder alignment, finance automation, and ongoing commercialization of reporting solutions. The candidate will partner with global business leaders, Finance, FP&A, data providers, and technology teams to transform complex business requirements into scalable analytical products that enable executive decision-making. This role requires a unique combination of business acumen, technical expertise, product thinking, and team leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Own and manage executive-level KPI reporting across multiple business units, products, and regions.
• Design and implement scalable KPI measurement frameworks, reporting methodologies, and governance processes.
• Develop and maintain analytics solutions, dashboards, and reporting products using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and Python.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve reporting efficiency, data accuracy, and operational scalability.
• Lead finance automation initiatives that transform manual FP&A reporting packs into governed, scalable, role-based dashboards and financial intelligence layers.
• Partner with global stakeholders to gather requirements, define metrics, resolve reporting issues, and provide actionable insights.
• Monitor data quality, perform validations, and ensure accuracy of business-critical reporting.
• Lead cross-functional projects from conceptualization through implementation, commercialization, and business adoption.
• Translate complex business problems into data-driven and AI-enabled solutions for senior leadership.
• Evaluate, identify, and integrate GenAI and AI capabilities into existing products and business processes.
• Contribute to AI product roadmap planning by identifying opportunities for AI-driven features, automation, insights generation, and user experience enhancements.
• Collaborate with technology teams to define AI solution architecture, integration requirements, data dependencies, and governance standards.
• Mentor and guide team members on technical tools, analytics best practices, AI adoption, and business processes.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, prioritize deliverables, and ensure timely execution of strategic initiatives.


Job Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Product Analytics, Product Management, or related fields.
• Experience designing and managing enterprise-level KPI frameworks and executive reporting solutions with proven ability to build scalable analytics products and automate reporting processes.
• Experience automating finance or FP&A reporting processes, including revenue, expense, driver, budget, forecast, and P&L reporting, with strong understanding of financial data governance and validation.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, AI agents, and enterprise AI use cases.
• Experience evaluating, planning, and integrating AI capabilities into business products and analytical solutions.
• Understanding of AI solution architecture, data flows, API integrations, model governance, and deployment considerations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into product roadmaps and identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data validation, performance measurement, and reporting governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across global teams and senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and product planning capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile/Product-oriented environments; CSPO, CSM, Product Management, AI, or Cloud certifications are preferred.
