Job Description

Summer 2027 Internship

Duration: Monday, May 17th- August 20th, 2027

Location: Austin, TX

What You Can Expect:

  • Lean Thinking: Interns are expected to apply Lean principles and continuous improvement thinking throughout their project work; Lean training and resources will be provided.
  • Our Goal is to provide interns with meaningful, hands-on experiences that contribute to business objectives while supporting their professional development

Responsibilities

  • Simulate mechanical and multi-physics processes in semiconductor 3D integration technologies by utilizing commercial and custom finite element software packages
  • Design and optimize mechanical elements using modeling results
  • Create advanced models to analyze simulation and experiment results

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • PhD candidate in mechanical engineering, materials science or relevant field at the start of the position
    • Experienced using finite element software, e.g. Abaqus, Ansys, COMSOL, etc.
    • Experienced in machine learning algorithms and programming software (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be fluent in English
  • Preferred:
    • Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes
    • Familiarity with applied statistical theories
    • Strong knowledge in advanced mathematics
