Research Fellow (Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence)
This role focuses on advancing AI-driven defect detection and image/video analysis for automotive assembly quality control, bridging research with real-world implementation in Hyundai’s dark factory. The position requires hands-on development of algorithms, system integration, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with robotics and digital twin technologies.

We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct the research for the project entitled “Manual Assembly Job Quality Inspection”. The role will focus on research and development of AI algorithms for defect detection, image/video analysis and understanding
Key Responsibilities:
Develop artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for defect detection, image/video analysis and understanding.
Perform system integration of the developed algorithms
Oversee project budget and coordinate the procurement and maintenance of equipment
Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students
Prepare and compile reports pertaining to the project.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in computer vision, artificial intelligence, etc.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C and Python
Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow
Knowledge in imaging and computing devices and equipment
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team
Excellent organizational / time management skills
Good publication records
