Job Summary
As an Analyst within the Reference Data Management - MDA Ops Team, you support the delivery of internal client demands across Asset and Wealth Management Lines of Business at JP Morgan. You will help build and manage a centralized repository for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Funds, Corporate, and Instrument analytics data sourced from third-party vendors and internal sources. Your role ensures high-quality data, timely issue resolution, and effective collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Become an SME across all vendor datasets to support analysis and resolve consumer queries
  • Develop expertise in ESG, Funds, corporate, and instrument analytic data in MDA
  • Define and enhance business rules to identify critical data exceptions and publish alerts
  • Support onboarding of new products and consumers to MDA
  • Research and route data issues identified by consumers and DQ alerts for resolution
  • Analyze and document consumer data usage patterns to escalate critical health checks
  • Collaborate with technology and product teams for change and production releases
  • Help vendors improve data quality by highlighting recurring patterns, data inconsistencies and potential data health checks or process changes to improve data at source
  • Maintain inventory of vendor data incidents, feedbacks and resolution status
  • Profile new data sets to identify and document characteristics required to build logical data models, data quality checks and exception alerts aligned to consumer priorities
  • Ensure SOPs are updated and proper controls are in place to reduce risks

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Services with a background in Data Management, Data Quality, or Business Analysis
  • Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, charts)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills across virtual teams

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Experience in AWM or CDO/Data Quality/Data Management functions
  • Ability to query large databases using SQL for data analysis
  • Experience producing PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences
  • Exposure to tools and technologies such as UiPath, Alteryx, or Tableau
