LLM Suite React Developer

Exciting opportunity to join a large and growing team focused on the strategic integration of Generative AI across JPMorgan. We are looking for a seasoned front-end engineer to help build interfaces and work closely with server-side engineers, as well as product, and design groups to deliver forward thinking user interfaces which empower JPMC with the latest generative AI capabilities.

As a React Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, your role will be pivotal in a rapidly expanding global agile team. You will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, from analysis and design to development and testing, and ultimately delivering an amazing user experience. Your responsibilities will include feature development, performance refactoring, accessibility engineering and close collaboration with a high-performing team to deliver complex UIs with an attention to both performance and aesthetic detail.

Day to day this role will primarily be writing UI code for a Generative AI solutions platform. It will involve working with a large and complex front-end mono-repo written in React and Typescript. A firm understanding of Application Design is required for this role, along with the ability to excel in a team through outstanding technical contributions, communication, and partnership.

What will you do?

• Develop cutting edge Generative AI Interface solutions using React and typescript using modern continuous integration standards and patterns
• Collaboratively design and build custom UI components to support various business workflows
• Develop innovative solutions or tools and build automated processes to help streamline both the development of a large and complex codebase and improve the developer experience
• Leverage strong operational skills to develop impactful recommendations on upstream product, process, or policy improvements that will optimize the user experience
• Work closely with the Product team to design, build and deliver capabilities in agile sprints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, backend engineers, designers, and data scientists to integrate generative AI into various applications and products.

What do we need?

• 5+ years of React development.
• Deep expertise of HTML, CSS, and JS, React, Typescript, and state management
• Experience working on a large team of developers in a large corporate environment developing, debugging, and maintaining code
• Hands on experience in React concepts such as functional components, hooks, state management, and context API with popular React libraries and tools like React Router, React Query, React Hook Forms and Ag Grid React.
• Solid understanding of improving and debugging memory and performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with application production readiness, production monitoring, and production issue triaging
• Knowledge of industry standard software best practices, development lifecycle processes and Agile tools and methodologies.
  • Strong interest in Generative AI and cutting-edge web technologies
  • Experienced in using the CLI, git workflow, and CI / CD
  • Familiarity and experience with Jest and React Testing Library
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
