Lecturer (Applied Artificial Intelligence) / School of Informatics & IT[What you will be working on]
- Deliver lessons in both face-to-face and online formats for full-time and/or part-time courses.
- Design, develop, and update teaching materials and assessments, with a focus on practical applications of Computer Vision such as image processing, object detection, facial recognition, and video analytics.
- Supervise student projects and foster independent learning in areas including deep learning for vision, visual recognition systems, and multi-modal AI.
- Evaluate student assignments and academic performance, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Mentor and coach students to enhance their academic and professional development.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners on AI and Computer Vision-related projects, contributing to applied research and innovation.
[What we are looking for]
- Possess relevant academic qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in application development and/or Artificial Intelligence, with demonstrated expertise in Computer Vision, including: image and video analysis, pattern recognition, and visual perception tasks.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, applied to vision models (e.g., convolutional neural networks, object detection, image segmentation).
- Proficiency with open-source Computer Vision libraries such as OpenCV or equivalent.
- Skilled in at least two programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript), with strong proficiency in Python preferred.
- Passionate about sharing knowledge and engaging with both youth and adult learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and industry partners.
