Intern - Data Science AI-I (PhD level)
The intern will conduct AI-driven research, applying Python-based machine learning and image analysis techniques to clinical and administrative datasets at Mayo Clinic. Functions as an artificial intelligence and informatics researcher by applying data science, artificial intelligence and informatics, and machine learning expertise to the design, implementation, analysis, interpretations, and reporting of research, clinical and administrative studies.
Qualifications
Working towards a PhD degree in data science, computer science, mathematics/statistics, informatics, computer engineering, or related field. Must possess excellent Python programming skills, strong expertise in literature review, and have demonstrated experience in AI and image analysis. Also must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving expertise, along with exceptional written and oral communication skills, be highly motived, willing to learn, and demonstrate initiative in assigned tasks. Research experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science or related field preferred.
